William Blanchet, M.D., Amy Maiocco, M.D., Holly Lewis, M.D, and John Campbell, PA-C, have established expertise with internal medicine and disease prevention.
William Blanchet, M.D.
Dr. Blanchet was raised in
Louisiana on his family's rice
and cattle farm. He attended
medical school at LSU
and completed his Internal
Medicine Residency at the
University of Missouri. He
began practice in Boulder in
1986 and opened his own
private practice in 1998.
Dr. Blanchet is a well-known and respected member
of the Colorado medical community. He served as the
Director of the Boulder Valley IPA and Medical Director
of Boulder Manor. Currently, he is the Medical Director
of Professional Home Health Care, a Board Member at
Tara School of Performing Arts, and the Owner/Medical
Director of Front Range Preventive Imaging. He is a local
keynote speaker and advocate of early detection and
prevention of heart disease and colon cancer.
He is passionate about providing effective management
of cardiac health in his patients and combines a
wonderful, kind approach with keen intellectual abilities.
Dr. Blanchet's patients benefit from his willingness to
take the time necessary to diagnose and treat complex
Donna and Bill have been married since 1981 and have
three children. He is an enthusiastic gardener. His favorite
pastime is fly fishing.
Amy Maiocco, M.D.
Dr. Maiocco graduated from Wellsley College and went to graduate school in social work at Washington University. She completed her medical degree at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and completed her residency in Internal Medicine in Portland, Maine.
In 2004, Dr. Maiocco and her husband, Jim, moved
back to her native Colorado to be with friends and family.
She has three children and is an active participant and cheerleader in all their various activities.
Dr. Maiocco joined APP in April 2012. She is excited to
work in a membership based practice that will allow her
more time for patients. She is interested in all aspects
of general internal medicine, with particular focus on
diabetes, hypertension, obesity, osteoporosis and
Holly Lewis, MD
Dr. Lewis is a board-certified internal medicine physician who received her MD from the University of Colorado, and completed her residency in Internal Medicine in Portland, OR. In 2008, she took a two year hiatus to travel through Canada and Alaska, write, and become a certified Conscious Living and Loving Coach through the Hendricks Institute in Ojai, California.
While she provides the full range of internal medicine services, Dr. Lewis is open to alternative therapies, and has begun to study functional medicine. She looks at health and illness from a perspective that incorporates the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of each person. In her free time, Dr. Lewis enjoys biking, beading, making art, and performing and facilitating with Turning the Wheel, a local non-profit arts organization that seeks to build healthy communities through creative expression.
John Campbell, PA-C
John Campbell is a native of Colorado. He graduated from the University of Colorado and from
Physician Assistant training at Emory University in Atlanta. John began working at Boulder Internal Medicine in 1999 and then joined
Dr. Blanchet in the creation of the Advanced Prevention Program in 2009.
John and his wife, Keri, have two sons. John coaches basketball, participates in Iron Man competitions, and, in his copious spare time, remodels his house.
He is a fully licensed Physician's Assistant and authorized by the DEA to prescribe medications. John provides complete care for his patients both in the office and the hospital. His patients love his happy, outgoing personality and appreciate his caring approach to medicine.
